Google 2012 Conent is Super King

Content is Super-King in 2012

2012 is surely the year of disaster for those ranking websites depending only on spamy back links. With the new updates in Google algorithms, the needless back-links and poor article marketing both will loose their significance. We all know that in blogging world "Content is King", but Google panda update changes this to : "Content is Super-King". I know Super-King is not a genuine word in dictionary but cant get any other word to describe to importance of "content" that Google panda update gives him.

Back-links : Not the Queen anymore

We bloggers love to say : "Content is King and Links are Queen" but Google is in attempt to change this beautiful line. Google is trying to change their algorithm which always depended on back-links, now will depend on Content. I Really don't know, how on this world Google created algorithm to decide the quality of content(believe me its not an easy task) using Artificial Intelligence, but Google really did it according to their blog post : Finding-more-high-quality-sites. All this means is that gone are the days of sleepless nights begging for back-links and submitting lots articles over the directories. Now all you have to concentrate on is Content Creation.

Content is Super King but Content Farms dead?

Yah, now thats a great irony. Google now don't give that importance to the content farm sites as it used to give earlier. The reason is obvious, people used content farm sites just to get some backlinks and this led to poor quality articles on content farm sites. This is where the secrete resides. If your content on a content farm is of good quality then by no means Google will harm your content.

So, back-linking from content farms is still not dead, but you will have to work hard on the content that gives you a back-link.

Good news for Newcomers

For those who have just jumped in the blogging sea, this update is actually good for you. Because we all know that those sites ranking high on Google are having lots of back-links and if back-links are what decides the ranking then i becomes really tough for newcomers to compete with them. But now the scenario is deferent, if you have quality content on your blog then it will surely rank high on Google.

So, lets trust our beloved Google and obey the Super King Content, forget everything about seo and let Google decide if your blog is worth its front page or not.

Rank high on Google - A clean strategy

Are you fed up of seeing Google results with none of your blog post? Read lots of tutorials on SEO and of no use till now? Then here I reveal a very clean strategy to get viewed on Google. First decide a post you want to work on (I assume you already published it). We will see how my post : "Your site on Google in 2012" at Number 9 in Page 2 of Google results for keyword "Content is Super-King" will make its way to Number 1 in Page 1 of Google results. No Theories just Practicals!

[Update : I deleted that post and re-posted the same content with title "Google 2012 - Content is Super King"]

Day-2 : I realized a back-link from an wordpress seo site and my post also ranked up, now its at 6th in Page-2. But this may be casual fluctuation as Google says, the rank may keep fluctuating. Now I will try to get a back-link to that post and see whether it improves post's rank or not.

Day-3: Tried out Squidoo for a backlnk. Created a lens titled "SEO vs Content" and also composed some original quality content (at least i tried to). But Squidoo said its a low quality content and they didn't published my lense. It was really dissapointing, it wasted my whole day.

Day-4 : Copied the whole content from Squidoo to Hubpages and published the hub with same title SEO vs Content. Mean while also got one more backlink from an anonymous site. After all this hard work its time to see the results. Now I searched Google for keyword "Content is Super King" and now my blog is at 1st position in 2nd page. Not bad, I think I need to do little more work.

Day-5 : The title of that post and the Keyword that I chose didn't matched so I deleted the post "Your site on Google in 2012" and re-posted the same content with title "Google 2012- Content is Super King". Waited for some time and WOAH!! Now my blog post is at 5th position on 1st page of Google! Still five steps to go.

[Update : Did nothing for almost one month and searched today for that term and now my post is at 2nd position at first page of Google results. It seems Google not only counts the backlinks but also keeps watch on the authority if your blog.]

My first Adsense earning : $0.92

Just some days before ads started displaying on this blog. Today just wandering on facebook I remembered a friend of mine said yesterday that he clicked the ad displayed on my blog (I didn't said him to do that). It felt like Harry Potter saying "I touched the stick of Voldomort". What would happen next? Will I get my life's first income? Will Google be kind enough to pay me for that click? Soon without any waste of time I logged in to my Blogger account and directly went to Earning section. Saw 1 pageview, but no matter of money there. Then Curiously clicked at "View full report". My adsense account opened in new tab and there I saw a woooping $0.92 in my account!! Woow, finally I got my first earnings with Google Adsense! I love you Google!

Now it seems that the wandering myths about "Adsense Money" are all true and Google Adsense is a real thing to make money on a blog. I know $0.92 is not enough to appreciate about but it was enough to convince me write a post to describe how full of fantasy my first journey to adsense was! This experience was really encouraging for me and now will continue posting on this blog. Now I know atleast how to make your first Cents!! :D

Indexed on Google

Finally this blog got indexed on Google. This blog was lying down form almost a year in my dashboard just with one post. After a year someone inspired me to start the blog and I started posting. The point of interest is that even though the blog was there with one post for 1 year, Google didnt indexed it. This shows Google is a smart boy!

How to get indexed on Google

Now since two of my blogs are indexed on Google I think I can share some of my thinking on getting indexed on Google. Its clear that just creating a blog and putting a post on it will not impress google to index your blog. There are certain points to keep in mind when creating a blog to get indexed fast.

Post frequently - Two post per day

Don't worry I am not saying to maintain this rate all time but just frequently posting for 2-3 days may easily make your blog indexed on Google. Once Google indexes you, you can slow down your posting rate, but mind well, "A post a Day lets visitors Stay".

Facebook and Twitter are your friends

Nearly every netizen today have a Facebook and Twitter account, and a lots of known and unknown friends there. So its time to let your friends know about your creativity. Spreading your blog initially among your friends will give you some initial page views and make it even easier to get indexed on Google.

Blogger Affiliate - Bump Ahead!

Since Blogger is an awesome free blogging platform so many people start to think of creating a blog and promoting some affiliate and earn some good money. But STOP! Blogger is not made for affiliate marketing.

Do NOT promote affiliate products on Blogger!

I have seen many peoples cursing Google for deleting their blog. But its always their mistake. Its clearly mentioned in Blogger's terms of use that you are not allowed to create a blog with the sole purpose of promoting an affiliate product. So if you are dreaming of it then you better wake up. On Blogger you can build a great blog, gather a lot of audience and can even earn from adsense but no place for affiliates. Then you think wordpress.com blog, but they also dont allow affiliate links.

Then were to sell affiliate products ?

Right now Tumblr seems to allow affiliate links, but some peoples are having troubles there also. So If you want to sell affiliate products on any free platform then you can consider having a free web site. There are number of free website providers around the web. I have reviewed some of them at my another post : Your own Website for FREE.

Secondly, if you are a web developer then you will find hosting your site manually more interesting. You can easily find some free web hosting services on Google. Some of them also give you a sub-domain. Going this way gives you more control over your website. Moreover since you are going to make a site just around one product a large bandwidth is also not required and free hosting providers can give you sufficient bandwidth to get your site running.
